I bought Andy a car radio from Lidl for Christmas. It was one of their special deals on November 21st. It’s a really good radio with bluetooth and everything. The details are here.
Andy is now thinking about selling his car though. So the radio is sitting un-opened in its box. I still have the receipt so I was hoping I could bring it back to Lidl and get the money back…or shopping instead of it. We asked on Facebook and was told that wouldn’t be a problem and to phone customer service which I did. Again I was told no problem they would just get a manager to authorise it with the Sligo store. I didn’t hear anything back so I phoned again and was told they wouldn’t be able to do anything because it was over the 28 day money back guarantee.
Other stores are allowing things purchased as Christmas gifts to be returned but not Lidl. It’s a shame because I do a lot of shopping there but I might re-think this now. It’s not like they will be left with the radio as they always fly off the shelf whenever they have them in stock.
Maybe Andy can use it as an expensive door-stop.
sell it on ebay? on advert? on a facebook local sell group? hmph!
I could but I’m going to lose money on it
Hey there! I have been doing a lot of car shopping over the last few weeks. (Wife wrote off her car! No one hurt) We bought a car yesterday but after we bought I got an email from a lady in Galway who’s golf I was looking at. I got them down from 7500 to 6000! 07 black golf with all the bells and whistles! If it is in Andy’s budget and he likes Golf’s I’ll send you the link!

Oh your poor wife. Hope she is OK.
Andy has a car but he hardly uses it so it’s costing to tax and insure it which is why he’ll probably sell it.
